Use this prayer when money feels tight, when bills and headlines stir anxiety, and when you need to remember that your ultimate provider is not the economy but your heavenly Father.

Father in heaven,
You see every bill on my table,
every number in my account,
every quiet calculation I make in my mind.
Nothing about my situation is hidden from You.
You know the weight that sits on my chest
when I think about rent, food, debts, and responsibilities.
You know the late-night questions that circle in my mind:
“Will there be enough? What if I fail the people who depend on me?”
Today I bring those fears to You, one by one.
Lord, You have said, “Do not be anxious about your life…
your heavenly Father knows that you need them all.”
Help me believe that, not just with my lips, but with my heart.
Teach me to look at the birds and the flowers,
not as sentimental pictures,
but as living reminders that You care for what You have made—
and that I am of much greater value to You.
Give me wisdom with every resource You have entrusted to me.
Show me where to be diligent, where to cut back,
and where I may need courage to make difficult changes.
Guard me from despair and from denial.
Help me to live simply, to resist the pressure to keep up appearances,
and to choose contentment over comparison.
Where I have made unwise choices with money,
I confess them to You.
Forgive my greed, my impulse to control,
and my tendency to grasp at security apart from You.
Give me a humble, teachable heart
that is willing to learn new habits and to seek help when I need it.
Lord, I ask for Your provision—
for work, for opportunities, for daily bread.
Open doors that no one else can open.
Close doors that would pull me away from Your will.
Let me see clearly the difference between what I need and what I only want,
and help me to trust that You know how to provide both in the way that is best.
Protect my heart from being ruled by money,
whether I have much or little.
May I never measure my worth by what I own,
or my safety by what I have stored.
Teach me to place my hope not in riches, which are uncertain,
but in You, who richly provide all things to enjoy.
Even in tight seasons,
keep my hands from closing into fists.
Show me small ways to be generous,
to remember that I am part of a body, not alone in the world.
Let my giving—even when it feels small—
be an act of worship, a quiet declaration
that my life is sustained by Your faithfulness, not by my control.
Thank You that in Christ I am already rich in the things that matter most:
forgiveness of sins, the presence of Your Spirit,
the promise that You will never leave or forsake me,
and an inheritance that no market can touch.
Calm my heart today, Lord.
Let Your peace guard my thoughts as I work, as I plan, and as I wait.
Provide what is needed,
surprise me with Your kindness,
and keep me close to You in every season—
in abundance and in need.
I place my finances, my fears, and my future in Your hands.
In the name of Jesus, my Provider and my King, I pray.
Amen.
